Study Engineering

Is by itself a vast field and it offers infinite scope for specialization. Engineering
Involves the application of the principles of science and mathematics to developing new technologies that help in improving the conditions of our life. The thrills of discovery and invention, the challenge of the unknown, the power to build new things and improve upon existing structures –all these give tremendous joy to the engineer. There is invigorated by engineering technology.

Level of Engineering  Education
Generally Engineering
And technical education is available at four levels. At the lowest level is the training indifferent trades offered by a large number of Industrial Training Institute s (ITI s) across the country. The duration and eligibility requirements for this training vary depending upon the nature of the trade.
The next higher level is the three-year Diploma Course in different branches of Engineering
And technology available in polytechnics . The eligibility requirement for admission to diploma courses is pass in class 10 examination. In some States, the polytechnics offer post +2 diploma and post diploma courses also

The first Degree programmes leading to B.E/B.Tech degrees are of four-year duration except Architecture (B.Arch) which needs five years to complete.
The postgraduate programmes leading to the award of M.E/ M.Tech and M.Arch degrees are of two years. Candidates are their study at the first degree level

Engineering  admission
Eligibility: For admission to Engineering
 Degree programmes B.E/ B.Tech and B.Arch courses
Qualification: A pass in to +2 Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent referred to as  a qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in physics chemistry and mathematics

Selection Procedures
Generally selection to a Engineering
Institute is based on Entrance Examinations. There are two national level entrance Examinations for engineering courses-JEE and AIEE. Through this candidates can compete at an All India Level for admission to prominent institutes such as the IITs and NITs. They can also apply for the seats available in the various state level colleges.
